Outcomes

We designed the refurbishment of Holmesglen Institute’s 20-year-old library at the Chadstone campus. Our remit included both architecture and interior design services.

Outside, we designed a new entranceway — featuring eye-catching glass fins in Holmesglen’s signature shade of turquoise. Inside, our interior design reimagined much of the existing fit-out. Not only was this a cost-saving strategy but also an environmentally responsible one.

Student collaboration — key to success

At the beginning of the project, we engaged directly with the Student Body representatives and asked them what would entice them to use the library more frequently. We took those findings and incorporated them into our design.

Among the design’s flexible features are the addition of a new central pavilion for hosting exhibitions and visiting industry professionals, together with training and recording rooms.
